ONCE UPON A TIME...

...it was during a power outage while I was knitting a sweater. My son handed me his camper headlamp and said: "you need light to see, why don’t you use a special light for your craft?"

And guess what? That headlamp actually worked just fine. When the power came back, I didn’t want to remove the headlamp, despite amusing faces. I could see better. I could knit better.

That’s when I realized if I’m not using a proper light, I’m simply knitting in the dark. Power or no power.

AT THAT MOMENT...

... I knew I was onto something. That idea to put light on your stitches could really mean something for so many crafters who have aging eyes, eye strain, eye health issues, who want to work on dark yarn or tiny stitches with small needles or who have just poor lighting at their home. Light made the whole difference!

I could see my stitches better, and, in fact, enjoy my knitting more. It's all about fun after all, right? Knitting has always meant peace, comfort, and yes, even unraveling, of both yarn and thoughts. You sit down to stitch just one more row, and suddenly you feel the inner peace.

NEVER A HEADLAMP, FOR SURE.

Of course I was sure I’d never use a headlamp while knitting, but I started researching what kind of products were out there to help bring my idea to life. I looked at the market, and all I saw were these clunky, gadgety repairman tools being sold to crafters. No, thank you. I told myself, it's time to create something beautiful, something for creators.

And the rest? Well, the Lumos Knitting Light took on a life of its own. It became a favorite among crafters of all ages, in all corners of the world. I’ve seen it in use on planes, in hotels, at cozy cinema nights, on yachts, in caravans, around campfires, even with knitters sitting quietly next to their boyfriends, playing video games.

I HAVEN'T SEEN IT ALL.

And just when I thought I’d seen it all, someone sent me a photo knitting while walking at night, Lumos around their neck, happy as can be.

And you ask why I’m obsessed with this little knitting light? Well… look at you. You tell me. You'll see the reason.

Join me in my journey, or at least, please just don’t knit in the dark, will you? It’s way more fun this way!
